You'll spend 16 days touring 4 countries: the UK, France, Switzerland and Italy. During the tour, you'll have 4 scheduled performances - one in each country. MEET THE DIRECTOR

DR. KELVIN JONES

Dr. Kelvin Jones is proud to serve as Tour Director and Music Director for the Sound of Louisiana Ensemble. He is passionate about creating positive life-changing experiences for young musicians and families as they travel and perform throughout Europe.


Dr. Jones (he/him) is a dynamic figure in the world of music education, serving as an educator, conductor, musician, drill designer, and music arranger for high school and university programs nationwide. His arrangements, performed across the United States, notably by the Dallas Winds, showcase his exceptional talent. Formerly the director of the Grammy-nominated Golden Band from Tigerland at Louisiana State University, Dr. Jones has led bands to acclaim at state and national events, including performances at the Zulu Mardi Gras parade, New Orleans Saints games, Walt Disney World, and prestigious college football championships.


As a sought-after guest conductor and clinician, Dr. Jones has made a global impact, working with music programs in South America, Carnegie Hall in New York City, and leading the LSU marching band in Dublin, Ireland. He is a Conn Selmer Educational Clinician, an instructor at the Smith-Walbridge Drum Major Clinic, and a respected adjudicator for concert and marching competitions. Dr. Jones shares his expertise through publications in magazines and books, including the Instrumentalist and Teaching Music Through Performance in Band series.

ITINERARY

DAY ONE

You'll depart on your flight.

DAY TWO

You'll meet your ETA Tour Manager and begin your trip! 


First you'll take a panoramic city tour of London, featuring Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, London Bridge and more!

DAY THREE

You'll visit the Tower of London, one of the world's most famous fortresses, and Tower Bridge. Grab lunch at the vibrant Borough Market and take a tour of the iconic Globe Theatre.

DAY FOUR

Today you'll perform at a public venue.


Then you'll visit London's World Famous Covent Garden and the British Museum. In the evening you'll see a show at the West End show in London's theatre district.

DAY FIVE

You'll check out of your hotel, board your bus and drive to France.


You'll stop to see the White Cliffs of Dover before you arrive in Honfleur, a charming coastal town in Normandy, and check into your hotel.

DAY SIX

You'll visit the Museum of Embarkment for an in depth look at the DDay invasion. You'll visit one of the landing sites, Omaha Beach, and the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in France


You'll perform at a public venue.

DAY SEVEN

You’ll depart for the drive to the mystical Mont St. Michel, where you'll be able to explore and visit the Norman Benedictine Abbey.

DAY EIGHT

You'll check out, board your bus and drive to Paris.


In Paris you'll visit the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the charming neighborhood of Montmartre, and the highest point of the city, the Sacre Coeur.

DAY NINE

You'll visit the Palais Garnier, setting for the world famous book and musical Phantom of the Opera. You'll see the Notre Dame Cathedral and visit the Marais Neighborhood. Then you'll enjoy a narrated river cruise on the Seine. Following dinner, you'll visit the Eiffel Tower.

DAY TEN

You'll check out of your hotel room, board the bus and drive to Switzerland.

DAY ELEVEN

You will embark on a guided walking tour through Lucerne and uncover the city's rich history and captivating charm.


You'll perform at a public venue.

DAY TWELVE

Embark on a walking tour through the enchanting Alpine town of Interlaken. You'll get a chance to ride up the mountain in a funicular.


You'll continue your drive and reach Grindelwald, an Alpine village reminiscent of a storybook.

DAY THIRTEEN

You'll check out of your hotel room, board the bus and drive to Florence, Italy.


During your drive, you'll stop for lunch in Parma, Italy.

DAY FOURTEEN

You’ll take a guided walking tour of Florence and learn about this fantastic Renaissance city. Visit the Accademia Museum, home of Michelangelo's famous sculpture, David; the Duomo, the distinctive Florentine cathedral; and the Basilica di Santa Croce.

DAY FIFTEEN

Today you'll visit Boboli Gardens, one of the largest and most elegant Italian style gardens. You'll also visit Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, and Piazza della Signoria, Florence's main square.

DAY SIXTEEN

You'll head to the airport for your return trip home.
